Hello everyone, and welcome back for another episode of the Outdoor Adventure Series Podcast. This is your Host Howard Fox. The Outdoor Adventure Series celebrates individuals & families, businesses, and organizations that seek out and promote the exploration of the great outdoors.

Our guest today is Jim Boone.

Jim is an Outdoor Enthusiast, and Ecologist. His professional interests include looking at the way things interact, focusing now on the local effects of climate change on the desert ecosystem, and things that can be done to ease the transition to a different climate system.

Jim also runs the Bird and Hike Website - is intended for two audiences: (1) people who might not visit public lands on their own, and (2) visitors from afar who don't know the area. But really, the main audience is people who haven't gotten out on public lands but want to.

PASSION
Hiking alone in the desert knocking down abandoned, bird-killing mining-claim markers.

WEBSITE PURPOSE
Hopefully, novice hikers will get to know their public lands, fall in love with our wild places, and then be willing to stand with us advocating for the protection of our special places.
