Hello everyone. Welcome back for another episode of the Outdoor Adventure Series Podcast. This is your Host Howard Fox.

Our guest today is Alec Sills-Trausch.

Alec is an Outdoors Writer, Landscape Photographer, and is a passionate advocate for pushing boundaries in the wild. He loves to write about his travels, and craft articles that help educate and inspire others to find their joy in nature. By showing off the beauty of planet earth, he hopes to bring more people into the environmental movement to protect our greatest treasures.

Alec’s current writing roles include SunnyScope and Adorama. He also wanted to share that he is a cancer survivor, and he hopes to show the world that there is a future beyond this terrible disease. Alec resides in Santa Barbara, CA, and has plans to move to Seattle in 2022.

"ah-ha" moment

I just heard from a fellow hiker who follows me on Instagram that she sustained a hard fall and was discouraged to rehab. But after seeing my story of coming back from cancer to do some gnarly hikes, it really gave her the motivation to keep pushing and find her path back!
